McDavid of Natchitoches Dies From Injuries Isom Bowman McDavid, 31, who died July 2 at his home in Natchitoches, was buried at Monday at 3 p.m., with final services held at the Robeline Baptist Church. Rev. Protho officiated, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Cockerham. Mr. McDavid died from injuries received in a highway accident while enroute to a Shriners meeting in Lake Charles, June 25. According to reports, McDavid was riding a highway "train" operated by the Shrine organization. A trailer hitch apparently broke loose and the trailer rolled down the highway turning completely over and coming to a stop back on its wheels. He was given first aid and later taken to his home in Natchitoches where he succumbed several days later. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. McDavid of Winnfield and the brother of V. W. McDavid and of Mrs. H. C. Sandifer, both of Winnfield. He also leaves his wife and a son, Bowman G. of Natchitoches.
