J. McDade, who died at the home of her daughter, mrs. S. J. Taylor, Friday afternoon at 4:15 o'clock. Services were held at Mrs. Taylor's home with the Rev. H. H. McBride, Baptist minister, officiating, with Rev. G. A. Morgan, Methodist minister, and Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, assisting. The deceased was born in Kemper County, Miss., and had lived here since 1903, making her home for the past 16 years with her daughter, Mrs. Taylor. Mrs. McDade had been a member of the Baptist Church since the age of fourteen. Pallbearers, members of the local American Legion Post, were Clayton Taylor, W. E. Walker, H. H. Hammons, D. E. Sikes, and Alvin Hahn and John W. McCloy. The deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. S. J. Taylor, of Winnfield; two brothers, Albert Cherry of Santa Marca, Calif., and Jack Cherry of Couley, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
