Brother of Local Residents Dies In W. Monroe

W. P. McDaniel of West Monroe died Sunday morning, October 9, 1966 in Glenwood
Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in West Monroe with Rev. Leon
Sim officiating.

Graveside services and burial were in Zion Hill Cemetery near Winnfield at
2 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John H. Strange of Shreveport
and Mrs. Cleburne White of West Monroe; a son, R. P. McDaniel of Fort Worth,
Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Wade of Turner Town, Texas, Mrs. Doug Pullig
of Minden, and Mrs. Luther Melton of Winnfield; two brothers, Manuel McDaniel
of Minden and S. G. McDaniel of Winnfield; and eight grandchildren and 16
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Boyd White, Ernest Strange, Rev. Noah Fox, Jimmy Stinett,
Travis Golson, and Jerry Beavers.
