Final Rites For E. McDavid Held At Pleasant Hill

Funeral services for E. M. McDavid, 74 year old Winn Parish man, who died at 7
p.m. Sunday at his residence near Winnfield after a long illness were held at
2 p.m. Tuesday in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Broadway
and Rev. Harrison Cockerham officiating.

Burial was in the Allen Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Born in Brookhaven, Miss., McDavid moved to Winn Parish as a small boy.

He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a retired timberman.

Survivors include his widow; one son, V. W. McDavid of Joyce; one daughter,
Mrs. H. C. Sandifer of Joyce; two sisters, Mrs. Jake Gorham of Joyce and Mrs.
C. B. Gorham of Dry Prong; six grandchildren.
