Rites For Cyrus McGinty, Winn Native, Held

Cyrus McGinty, Jr., age 63, died at his home in Houston, Texas, early Monday
morning November 11, 1968 of a heart attack.

He was the son of the late Catherine Jennings and Cyrus McGinty, lifelong
residents of Winnfield.

The deceased was born and reared in Winnfield where he attended public school
and after graduation attended Louisiana State University where he was a member
of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

For the past 24 years Mr. McGinty has been affiliated with Union, Texas,
Petroleum of Allied Chemical, the past 16 years in Houston.

Mr. McGinty was a member of the Bethany Methodist Church of Houston.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Kelly McGinty, one son, Dr. Cyrus McGinty
III, of Victoria, Texas, three grandchildren, Janet Melissa, Angus Kelly, and
Amy Catherine; three sisters, Mrs. N. C. Woody of New Orleans, Mrs. A. C.
Campbell of Shreveport, and Mrs. Thomas Fortner of Dallas, Texas.
