Mrs. D. McGuffey Succumbs; Rites At Beech Creek

Mrs. Dorothy McGuffey, 86, died at 12:50 a.m. August 31, 1968 in a Winnfield
hospital.

She was a member of the Beech Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Cox of Tullos; two brothers, Lonnie
Smith of Joyce and R. L. Smith of Wisner; four grandchildren, and eight
great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Beech Creek Church with Rev.
E. B. Barton officiating, assisted by Rev. Lawrence Turner.  Burial was in the
church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
