Found in an article I copied about 1984 at NSU from the Melrose newspaper
clippings.

From the Alexandria newspaper.  The article just above it was dated Jan 16.
The year 1930 was handwritten in.


Mrs Mary Catherine McGinity, 89 years old, died at the home of her son,
Herschel McGinity, here this morning after an illness of 10 days.  The body
will be taken tomorrow to Jonesboro for burial.  One other son, Cyrus McGinity
of Winnfield, LA., survives her.

NOTE:  John Cloud, Revolutionary War soldier is buried on the McGinity Place
in Ganesville, Winn Parish, LA.  I don't know if this Cyrus McGinity is the
one that owned the land or not.
