Mother of Mrs. Owen Anders Dies

Mrs. Maggie McGuffee, 86, died at a Winnfield hospital August 14, after a long
illness.  She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Owen Anders of
Winnfield since last December.

Funeral services were held August 15 at Spring Ridge Baptist Church, Aimwell,
La., with the Rev. Jack Crews of Enterprise officiating.  Burial was in the
church cemetery.

Besides Mrs. Anders, the deceased leaves another daughter, Mrs. Burton Miles,
Springdale, Ark.; two brothers, E. B. McGuffee, Enterprise, and R. C.
McGuffee, Harrisonburg; one sister, Mrs. S. V. Arbuthnot, Manifest; 16
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
