Mrs. Mary Jane Machen, 79 Years, Buried At Couley

Interment was in Couley Church Cemetery for Mrs. Mary Jane Machen, 79 years of
age, who died Thursday, October 6th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. W.
Machen, of Doyline, La., after a long illness.

Before marriage she was Miss Mary Jane Holder of Hazelhurst, Mississippi and
was married to Mr. Bill Little, who died in later years, leaving her a widow
with six sons and two daughters, four of whom are living at this time.  They
are Mr. Bob Little, Montgomery; Mr. Frank Little of Harrisonburg; Mr. Bill
Little, of Minden; and Ms. Ella Machen of Doyline.

In the year of 1900, Mrs. Little came to Louisiana and was married to Mr.
Frank Machen, now deceased, and since that time has made her home in this
state.

Besides her children, Mrs. Machen is also survived by many grandchildren and
great grandchildren and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Swanson, Mrs. C. M. Swanson, and Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Carter
of Winnfield, relatives, attended the funeral.
