Long In Colorado Funeral services for Mrs. Caledonia Long MacKallor of Colorado Springs, Colo., sister of Gov. Earl K. Long and the late Huey P. Long, were held last week, according to a report received here. Mrs. MacKallor, who was reared at Winnfield, was graduated from Northwestern State College, known then as Normal, and from the University of Arizona, died at her home July 17 after a long illness. Services and burial were conducted in Colorado Springs July 18. She also resided in Tucson, Ariz., where she had formerly taught school. She was a daughter of the late Huey P. Long, Sr., and Mrs. Caledonia Tison Long. Mrs. MacKallor's husband, DeWitt Clinton MacCallor, is a retired mining official. Survivors include three brothers, Governor Long, Julius T. Long, Shreveport attorney, and Congressman George Long of Pineville; four sisters, Mrs. R. W. Davis, Ruston, Mrs. Olive Cooper, Natchitoches, Mrs. W. M. Knott, Many, and Mrs. Stewart Hunt, Ruston; three sons, Laurence, Jules, and Clinton MacKallor. Other survivors include a nephew, U. S. Senator Russell Long; two aunts, Mrs. Olive Wright of Winnfield, and Mrs. Julia Nugent of Alexandria, who at 95, are reportedly the oldest twins in the United States; a niece, Mrs. Rose Long McFarland of Shreveport, and Mrs. Huey P. Long of Shreveport, the late governor's widow.
