McKinney, 44, a former resident of Winnfield, died January 29th in the Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Ill., after a lengthy illness. He was known in Winnfield by the nickname, "Ben", which he acquired while playing on the football team of the Winnfield High School, from which he graduated in 1924. After graduating from the Chillicothe Business College in 1928, he was employed by the Pulman Company in Chicago, where he was employed until his death. He is survived by five brothers, T. A. McKinney of Winnfield, W. C. McKinney of Minden, W. K. McKinney of Ringgold, J. H. McKinney of Vivian, and B. B. McKinney of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. J. H. Davis of Heflin, Mrs. W. M. Smith of Hall Summit, and Mrs. L. M. Tyler of Denham Springs. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bistineau Church, Heflin, La.
