McLean Buried At Sanders Chapel Thursday Last rites for John W. McLean, 76, who died in Winnfield February 27, were held at the Laurel Heights Baptist Church Thursday at 2 p.m., with the pastor, Rev. H. J. Mott, officiating. Assisting with the services were Dr. W. L. Holcomb and Rev. Ollie James. Burial was in the Sanders Chapel Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were J. C. Jackson, Alton Martin, Dalton Martin, Johnny Jackson, Ernest Perot, and L. A. Perot. A native of Texas, Mr. McLean had spent most of his lifetime at Goldonna, where he farmed. Retiring about three years ago, he and his wife moved to Winnfield and made their home. He was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, the former Miss Jennie Jackson; four brothers, L. L. of Campti, J. C. of Shreveport, R. S. of Homer (only three brothers listed); three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Jackson of Montgomery, Mrs. Lucille Vercher of New Mexico, and Mrs. Ann Perot of Campti.
