Mt. Zion Aged Resident Is Called By Death

Last Rites Were Held For S. H. McLamore Saturday

S. H. McLamore, 77 years of age, one of the oldest residents of the Mt. Zion
Community, died Thursday, June 9th, and was buried Saturday at Mt. Zion.  Rev.
J. A. Jones and Rev. G. A. McVey were in charge of the services.

Pallbearers were S. L. McManus, E. B. Maseberg, Murriel Gunn, Wesley Jones, J.
P. Mitchell, and W. H. Mixon.

Mr. McLamore, a farmer, was a lifelong resident of the Mt. Zion Community.  He
was a member of the Methodist Church.  His wife, the former Mary Flower Hall,
preceded him in death by eleven years.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. L. M. Watkins, Dallas; Mrs. T. W. Fowler,
Montgomery; Mrs. Grady Smith, Houston; and three sons, J. T. McLamore, S. J.
McLamore, and C. A. McLamore, Montgomery.

(I believe this should be H. S. McLamore and possibly his wife's first name
was May, not Mary)
