McLamore Is Buried Sunday At Mt. Zion Cemetery S. J. McLamore, 75, retired merchant of the Wheeling community, died Saturday in a Winnfield hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of the Wheeling community and spent his entire life there with the exception of the time he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. P. K. Smith, in Winnfield. He was a Mason and a member of the Woodman of the World. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 1964, in the Mt. Zion Church with the Rev. Dell Durand and the Rev. Larry Elliott officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Earl Johnson, Kent Wardlow, Thomas Harrison, Ray Daughtry, Ranel Brady, and Woodrow Gough. Survivors are a son, Glen W. McLamore of New Orleans; a daughter, Mrs. P. K. Smith of Winnfield; two brothers, Aubrey McLamore of Natchitoches and J. T. McLamore of Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. Tobe Fowler of Montgomery and Mrs. Grady Smith of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren.
