H. McLain Dies; Burial At Mt. Zion Mrs. Carmen Spillers McLain, 70, of Atlanta, died Thursday, May 9, 1974 in a local hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. McLain was a member of Atlanta Baptist Church, native of Winn parish, a retired nurse at Central Louisiana State Hospital, and a member of the Rebecca Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Atlanta Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Teal and Rev. Alton Thompson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Atlanta. Survivors include her husband, Andrew Harrison McLain of Atlanta; one brother, C. B. Spillers of Chicago, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. W. S. Ates, Sr., of Moss Point, Miss., and Mrs. Gladys Bandy of Atlanta.
