MCLEAN, 96, DIES IN WINNFIELD (Special to The Town Talk) WINNFIELD, La. - Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Jackson McLean, 96, of Winnfield were to be held at 2 p.m. today in Laurel Heights Baptist church here with Rev. C.C. Martin and Dr. W.L. Holcomb officiating. Burial was to follow in the Sanders Chapel cemetery near Calvin under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. McLean died Wednesday at 10 p.m. in a Winnfield hospital after a lengthy illness. A descendant of the Teddlie family, pioneers in Winn Parish, she was married to the late J.W.A. McLean in 1903. They resided at Goldonna until about 15 years ago when they moved to Winnfield. He died eight years ago. Prior to her marriage, she taught school in Winn and Natchitoches parishes. Known here as "Aunt Jennie", Mrs. McLean was active in Laurel Heights Baptist church and was one of its oldest members. For the past two years she had been living in a nursing home here. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Betty Martin of Winnfield and Mrs. Ella Drumond of Hodge, and a number of nieces and nephews.
