Mrs. McLaren, 86, Dies; Burial at Springhill

Funeral services were held Thursday for Mrs. Lena M. McLaren, 86, of Atlanta,
at Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield with the Rev.J. O. Dumas officiating,
assisted by the Revs. Wayne Blue and Carl Smiley.

Mrs. McLaren died early Wednesday morning, August 16, 1972 at Winnfield
General Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was a member of the Spring
Branch Baptist Church.

A second service was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Bailey Funeral Home of
Springhill with the Rev. Kenneth Everett officiating.  Burial was in
Springhill Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, John Pugh McLaren of Atlanta; four daughters, Mrs.
Rayford Fowler of Brownfield, Texas; Mrs. W. R. Tisdale, Mrs. S. E. Halterman,
both of Springhill, and Mrs. Oscar Thomas of Greenwell Springs; two brothers,
Oscar Meyers of Campti and J. A. Meyers of Cullen; 25 grandchildren and 29
great grandchildren.
