Night Funeral Service Is Held Christmas Day At Baptist Church The entire city of Winnfield learned with sorrow early Thursday morning of the death of Mrs. J. F. McCloy, which occurred shortly Wednesday night at her home, due to high blood pressure. The deceased, aged 61 years, was among the best known and best loved women of the city, and her death came as a shock, not only to her loved ones but to a wife circle of friends. Funeral services were conducted Christmas morning at ten o'clock at the First Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. A. H. Cullen, and assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing loved ones and friends who gathered to pay their last tribute of respect and love to the deceased. Surviving her are two sons, John and Harold McCloy, and one daughter, Mrs. H. L. Edgington, and three sisters, Mrs. J. V. Scott, Miss Cora Sowers, and Mrs. Clarence Dark of this city; three brothers, W. A. Sowers of Beaumont; J. C. Sowers of Corrigan, Texas, and D. C. Sowers of Waxahachie, Texas.
