Will McElroy Former Resident Dies In Shreveport

Will McElroy, 68, and a native of Winnfield, died in a Shreveport hospital
Tuesday, Feb. 19, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. McElroy was a member of the St. Marks Episcopal Church in Shreveport.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rector of St. Marks Church
officiating.

Survivors include his wife, the former Effie Shaw, daughter of the late F. L.
Shaw, Sr., of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Oliver Epps of New York; one son,
Billy McElroy of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Frank Shaw, Bill Shaw, Scotty Dunlap and Purcell Wallace.
