Services were held at Mars Hill Cemetery. Officiating were Rev. W. O. Cory of Pineville and Rev. Walker, pastor of the Atlanta Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial was under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. McManus, the former Miss Evie James, was born Oct. 10, 1893 in Verda. She is survived by her husband, G. P. McManus of Atlanta; eight sons, A. D. and James of Route 2, Winnfield, Aaron and David of Baytown, Texas, G. P., Jr. of Winnfield, Acie Lee of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Henry D. of Atlanta (appears that only seven sons are listed in the obituary); two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Thrower of Baytown, Texas and Mrs. Altha Kendricks of Atlanta; and 17 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Willard Lang, Earl Allbright, John Allbright, Marvin Evans, Johnny Jenova, and Mr. Shirley.
