Funeral of R. L. McMurry Will Be Held Sunday

Funeral services for R. L. McMurry, 75, who succumbed in a hospital in
Pineville Tuesday night, will be held at the Harmony Grove Church, Gaars Mill,
next Sunday morning at 10 o'clock with Mr. W. S. Emmons of Sikes in charge.

Born in Ashley County, Ark., Mr. McMurry moved to Louisiana at an early age. 
He married Miss Lela Dark of Gaars Mill and they resided in that community
while they were rearing their family.  For the past year Mr. and Mrs. McMurry
have been residents of Winnfield.  He retired from farming a number of years
ago because of ill health.

Besides his wife he leaves four daughters, Mrs. O. Robertson and Mrs. Sewell
Maloy of Gaars Mill; Miss Eva McMurry of Baton Rouge and Emma of New Orleans;
three sons, James of Galveston, Texas; Onis of Sikes, and Alfred McMurry of
California; and one brother, Rev. J. A. McMurry of Route 2, Winnfield.
