Funeral Services For R. L. McMurry To Be Held Sunday

Rites at Harmony Grove Church Sunday At 10 O'clock A. M.


Funeral services for Robert Lee McMurry, 74, of Winnfield, who died Wednesday
morning at 2:00 o'clock in an Alexandria hospital, will be held Sunday morning
at 10 o'clock at the Harmony Grove Church at Gaars Mill.

Mr. McMurry had been in failing health for several months, and was removed
to the hospital on Monday of this week.

The deceased was born in Poplar Bluff, Ashley County, Arkansas on March 26,
1870.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lela Dark McMurry, and eight children,
James William McMurry, Galvestown, Texas, Onus Hildon McMurry, Sikes, Mrs.
Mattie Robertson, Gaars Mill, Mrs. Emma Williams, New Orleans, Alfred McMurry,
Compton, Calif., Mrs. Gladys Maloy, Gaars Mill, Mrs. Ruby Gibbs, Gaars
Mill, and Eva McMurray, Baton Rouge.  Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and
one great grandchild.

Services will be held at the Harmony Grove Church, and interment will be in
the church cemetery there, conducted by W. S. Emmons of Sikes.
