J. W. McMurry Dies; Funeral To Be Thursday

James W. McMurry, 77, of Atlanta, died at 8:00 p.m. September 30, in a local
hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Southern Funeral Home
Chapel.  Interment will be at Harmony Grove Cemetery under the direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. J. W. McMurry of Atlanta; one son, Orrin
McMurry of New Orleans; two daughters, Mrs. Loy Gaar of Gaars Mill, Mrs. N.
E. Karnitz of St. Paul Park, Minn.; two stepsons, Lester Emerson, Houston,
Texas; Leonard Emerson of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, O. H. McMurry
of Sikes; four sisters, Mrs. A. E. Robertson, Mrs. S. C. Maloy of Dodson, Mrs.
Arthur Gibbs of Winnfield, and Miss Eva McMurry of New Orleans; 14
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
