Mrs. T. McMurdo Succumbs Here Early Saturday

Native of Illinois Had Lived Here For 12 Years

Mrs. Tom McMurdo, wife of a local merchant, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning
as the result of a short illness.  She was 54 years old.  Her remains
were carried to Auburn, Ill., Saturday afternoon where burial was made in the
family cemetery.

Mrs. McMurdo had been a resident of Winnfield for the past 12 years.  She was
married to Mr. McMurdo 35 years ago.  A native of Illinois, she was born Oct.
18, 1887.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. John McGoldrick, Winnfield; her
mother, Mrs. Lucy Gates, and one sister, Mrs. Mattie Peebles of Auburn, Ill.
