Heart Attack Is Fatal For Alfred Lee McMurry, 58

Alfred Lee McMurry, 58, of Dodson, Route 1, was dead upon arrival at Jackson
Parish Hospital early Tuesday morning following a heart attack.

He was the brother of Mrs. A. M. Gibbs of Monroe.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Harmony Grove Baptist Church
near Dodson with the Rev. S. W. Tullos officiating, assisted by the Rev. Red
Russell.

Burial was in Harmony Grove Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home
of Jonesboro.

Mr. McMurry was a native of Winn Parish and a retired construction worker.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Theo McMurry, the former Theo Hammitt,
Dodson; two brothers, Jim McMurry, Dodson, and Onas McMurry, Sikes; three
other sisters, Mrs. A. E. Robertson, and Mrs. S. C. Maloy, both of Dodson, and
Miss Eva McMurry, New Orleans.

Masonic graveside rites were held with Masons serving as pallbearers.
