W. McQuiddy Will Be Held Friday Rock Island Agent Dies This Morning After Two Weeks Illness With Pneumonia D. W. McQuiddy, age 56 years, died this morning at his home here after an illness of two weeks of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held Friday. The remains will be interred in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. McQuiddy was a citizen of Winnfield twenty-two years, having come here in 1907 as operator for the Rock Island Railroad Company. He has been agent for the company since 1915. He and his wife came here from Tullos, where he was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railway Company. He is originally from Normandy, Tenn. Mr. McQuiddy was married to Miss Jane Casey of Natchitoches. He is survived by his widow and three sons, Buford, Maurice, and Melvin of Cheyenne, Wyo., who were all present when death came. He is also survived by three brothers, G. W. McQuiddy of Galveston, Texas; C. C. McQuiddy of Haynesville, and L. McQuiddy of Chatanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Newman of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mrs. C. C. Richards of Wartrace, Tenn. Mr. McQuiddy was a member of the Christian Church and the Woodmen of the World.
