Death Of Mrs. D. W. McQuiddy Follows Lengthy Illness Mrs. D. W. McQuiddy, 72 years of age, died Friday, Jan 21, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Winnfield Saturday, Jan. 22, and interment was in the Winnfield cemetery. Rev. George L. Parks, of Natchitoches, assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes, of Winnfield, performed the ceremony. Mrs. McQuiddy was the former Miss Jane Casey, who moved to Winnfield to reside about thirty years ago. She was a member of the Orphanage circle of the Christian church. Pallbearers were W. C. Turner, Donald Turner, W. E. Walker, Howard Bowers, of Winnfield and Rev. George L. Parks. She is survived by three sons, M(?) McQuiddy of Winnfield, Buford McQuiddy of Odgen, Utah, and Maurice McQuiddy, serving in the armed forces overseas; two grandchildren, Juanita Jane and Buford McQuiddy, Jr.: two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Miller of Temple, Texas, and Mrs. Johnny Burke, of Lake Charles. Out-of-town friends who attended the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. T. E. Cain and their two grandchildren of Olla, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Miller of Temple, Texas, Rev. and Mrs. George L. Parks of Natchitoches, Mrs. T. D. Trice, of Lufkin, Texas, and Mrs. Ailene Cole Malonson of Bossier City.
