R. E. McCarty

Services for Robert Edwin McCarty, 93, of Monroe, sere held at 2 p.m. Saturday
at the Cypress Street Church of God in West Monroe with the Rev. Lloyd Bowen
officiating. 

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. McCarty died Thursday night, April 29, 1978, at St. Francis Medical Center
after a short illness.

He was a native of Sikes but had lived in West Monroe for the past 28 years. 
He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah McCarty of Monroe; five sons, Dr. F.
E. McCarty and Denver W. McCarty, both of Monroe, Seidel McCarty of Bush,
Charles L. McCarty of New Orleans, and John G. McCarty of Lafayette; two
daughters, Mrs. Velma Speir and Mrs. Louie B. Lee, both of West Monroe; 14
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
