A native of Jena, she was a resident of Pineville and the widow of Rev. G. A. McVay, Sr. Survivors include four sons, Luke McVAy of Lorrensburg, N. C., Wayne McVay of Alexandria, Rev. G. A. McVay, Jr. of Rayne, and Herman McVay of Pineville; five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Garner of Montgomery, Mrs. Marie Daniels of Pineville, Mrs. Marilla Bond and Mrs. Geraldine Guillory, both of Alexandria, and Mrs. Zarilla Echols of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Hugh Windham of Jena, 24 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Methodist Church, Pineville. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
