William C. McCarty, Sr.

Services for William Cecil McCarty, Sr., 66, of Winnfield were held at 2:30
p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Southern with the Revs. Edward Smith and Doyle
Wesson officiating.  Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery with full
Masonic graveside rites.

McCarty died at 2:15 a.m. Monday, February 14, 1983 in Humana Hospital.

He was a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church, member of Eastern Star
Masonic Lodge No. 151 F. & A. M., a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner.  He was
a Carrier dealer since 1953.

Survivors include his wife, Mottice McCarty of Winnfield; one son, W. C. 
McCarty, Jr., of Winnfield; four daughters, Vera Robertson of Dodson, Jeanette
Green and Diane Crooks, both of Winnfield, and Betty Jo Hailey of Sulphur; one
brother, J. Wayne McCarty of West Monroe; two sisters, Vina Sanders of Sikes
and Maurine Sanders of Noble; 20 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
