Osburn McWright Struck On Head, Dies

Osburn McWright, 45 year old negro, who was struck on the head by an unknown
assailant in the quarters near the Winnfield Brick Works Saturday night, died
in the Baptist Hospital Monday night.  McWright was a farmer and resided near
Winnfield.  Recently he had been cutting wood for an oil operator near
Winnfield.  He came in Saturday night and was talking with one of his
relatives at Willie Bowie's store when someone slipped up behind him in the
dark and struck him over the head with a blunt instrument.  His assailant has
not been apprehended.
