Megison, 25, War Vet, Will Be Buried Sunday Funeral services for Elmore Bert Megison, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Megison of Route 4, Winnfield, will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, 1944, at 4 p.m., at the Bethlehem Church. The Rev. Arrington of Dry Prong will be in charge of the services. Megison, who served one year, one month and 10 days in the U. S. Army, was given an honorable discharge last Dec. 28. He spent three months in the Veteran's hospital, Alexandria, and was transferred to the Hines, Ill., Veterans' hospital a month ago. His death occurred at this hospital Tuesday of this week. The remains will arrive Friday at 1:25 p.m. via L. & A. Railway and will be carried to the family home, Rt. 4, Winnfield, where they will remain until the funeral Sunday. Besides his parents, the deceased veteran is survived by two brothers, Leon Megison, Rt. 4, Winnfield, and Pfc. Millard Megison, new Guinea; two sisters, Parlee Megison, Rt. 4, Winnfield and Mrs. Sallie Weeks, Rt. 1, Goldonna.
