Seborn Megison Of Ward 8 Takes His Own Life

Seborn Megison, about 50 years of age, of Ward Eight, shot himself through the
chest with a shotgun last Saturday afternoon according to reports from that
community.

Mr. Megison resided alone, a short distance from his brother's home.  It was
said that he first called his brother to come, and then pulled the trigger of
the gun which he held against his chest.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bethlehem Church with the
Rev. F. M. Shows of Calvin conducting the rites.

Mr. Megison leaves the following sisters and brothers: Randall and Cleve
Megison, Route 4, Winnfield; Jodie Megison, Mexico; Mrs. Mollie Cockerham,
Waxahachie, Texas; Mrs. Geneva Anderson, Monroe; and Mrs. George Bates, Route
Four, Winnfield.
