Funeral Services Held For Arvin R. Melton

Funeral services for Arvin Richard Melton, who died in Winnfield at the home
of his sister, Mrs. P. O. Finley, Tuesday, were held Wednesday morning at the
Melton Cemetery, near here.  The Rev. A. H. Cullen, pastor of the First
Baptist Church, officiate.

Mr. Melton has been in poor health for the past seventeen months.  His death
was caused by double pneumonia.  He was born near Packton, on April 1, 1904,
and has live in the community and near Winnfield all his life.

Surviving Mr. Melton are his mother, Mrs. Alma Melton, of near Winnfield;
three sisters, Mrs. P. C. Finlay, of Winnfield; Mrs. Edwin Long of El Dorado,
Ark., and Mrs. Ode Nugent of Winnfield, and five brothers, J. C., L. H., ____,
Marvin, and Sam.
