Bill T. Melton, Winn Native, Dies In Minden

Bill T. Melton, 72, native of Winn Parish and a resident of Minden for the
past 30 years, died Sunday following a short illness.

He was a retired engineer for the L & A Railway Company and was a member of
the Parkway Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Green-Kleinegger Funeral
Chapel.  Burial was in the Minden Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Survivors are his widow; one son, William Morris Melton of Minden; five
grandchildren; four brothers, Riley Melton, Wright Melton, Lee Melton, and
Cranford Melton, all of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Keith and Mrs. Jean
Finch, both of Baton Rouge.
