Nella Long Melton

Services for Nelda Ada Long Melton were held at 10 am Saturday in Melton
Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Franks officiating. Burial was in Melton
Cemetery, under direction of Southern.

Mrs. Melton, 77, of Packton, died Thursday morning Aug 30, 1990 in
Saint Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.

She was a native of Delhi and a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was
also a member of AARP.

Survivors include one son, Shelby Melton of Tioga; one daughter, Frances
May of Packton; one sister, Emma Bassett of Shreveport; five grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.

Nella Ada (b. 11/15/1912) married Woodrow Wilson Melton (2/10/1912 -
8/05/1971) on 10/15/1932.
