Mrs. Nancy Melton Dies Thursday At Home Of Daughter

Body To Be Brought To Home To Await Funeral Arrangements


Mrs. Nancy W. Melton, widow of the late W. D. Melton, died at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Carter Keith, in Baton Rouge about noon Thursday of this week,
following an illness of several years.

The body will be brought to the home place five miles south of Winnfield to
await final funeral arrangements when the sons and daughters arrive.

Mrs. Melton was born in Winn Parish and was the daughter of the late Wade and
Anne Woodruff Wright.

Surviving her are five sons, Ed Melton, Riley Melton, and Cranford Melton of
Winnfield; Lee J. Melton, Oak Ridge, Tenn., Wright Melton, Kansas City, M.,
and Bill T. Melton of Minden; two daughters, Mrs. Carter Keith and Mrs. Anne
Finch of Baton Rouge.
