Mrs. Rosanna Melton

Mrs. Melton dies after brief illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosanna Melton, 68, of Winnfield, were held
at 2 p.m. Sunday at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim
Richards officiating.

Burial was in Melton Cemetery near Winnfield under the direction of Edmonds 
Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Melton died Friday, January 28, 1977 in a local hospital after a
brief illness.

Survivors include her husband, George Melton of Winnfield; three sons,
Jerry Melton of West Monroe, Wayne Melton of Houma and Roy Melton of
Birmingham, Ala.; one brother, David Morris of Garland, Tex.; two sisters,
Mrs. Nannie Cummings of Winnfield and Mrs. Violet Proden of Houston, Tx.
and one granddaughter.

Footnote added: Rosanna Morris (3/19/1906 - 1/28/1977) married on
12/06/1930 to George Cranford Melton (12/10/1901 - 10/23/1981).
