Services For Mrs. Silas Mercer Held Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Silas Mercer, 67, who died at the home of her sister
in West Monroe, Friday, were held Saturday afternoon at Beech Creek Church.
Rev. Turner Davis, pastor of East Winnfield Baptist Church and Rev. E. B.
Barton, officiated.

Surviving are her husband, one son, Rev. Homer Mercer of Bastrop, three
sisters, Vinnie, of California, Ada, of Bunkie, and Nellie, of Monroe, two
brothers, Henry and Walter Spangler, of West Monroe.
