A. C. Mercer Dies In Fire In Delhi, Buried Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday for A. C. (Felix) Mercer, 46, of Delhi, who
died early Tuesday when his small frame house burned. Mr. Mercer was a brother
of Pollard, Silas, and Willard Mercer, all of Winnfield. He was single.

The body was found near the door and a doctor said that he died from a heart attack.

The funeral was in Delhi and burial in Epps Cemetery.

At the time of the fire, the victim's father, Commodore Mercer of Epps, was
visiting in Winnfield and was called to Delhi early Tuesday morning.
