Cleo F. Merchant

Services for Cleo F. Merchant were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Burk's Temple
C. M. E. Church with the Rev. Sherman Davis officiating.  Burial was in the
Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Atlanta, under direction of Winnfield
Funeral Home.

Mrs. Merchant, 73, of Winnfield, died Saturday, January 12, 1991, in Lincoln
General Hospital, Ruston.

She was president of the Eighth District Missionary Society and was a member
of the stewardess board and the choir at Burk's Temple C. M. E. Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Elzenia Merchant of Winnfield; two brothers,
Henry Fobbs and Morrel Fobbs, both of Winnfield; four grandchildren and four
great-great grandchildren.
