Mrs. C. A. Meredith of Sikes Succumbs to Month's Illness

Mrs. C. A. Meredith, age 54, died at her home in Sikes, Tuesday morning, May
31, after a protracted illness of several months.  Funeral services were
conducted by W. S. Emmons and interment made in the Wright Cemetery the
following day.

Before her marriage thirty six years ago to C. A. Meredith, she was Miss Julia
Fluitt, daughter of the late Dr. Sam Fluitt of Caldwell Parish.  Mrs. Meredith
is survived by her husband, C. A. Meredith, and nine children, G. C.
Meredith of Colfax, Mrs. J. L. Mederies, Mrs. W. N. Johnson, Alfred, Bural,
Norma, C. A., Jr., L. W. and Rubie Mae Meredith of Sikes.
