Mother of W. F. Mercer Succumbs At Pollock, La.

Mrs. M. E. Mercer, 75, affectionately known to her many friends as "Aunt
Annie", died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. W. Duncan, Rt. 1, Pollock,
Saturday, September 11 after an illness of several months.

Funeral services were conducted at the Big Creek Baptist Church Sunday at 3
p.m. with the Rev. Walter Goetz and Rev. J. O. Fogleman officiating. 
Interment was in the Big Creek Cemetery.

She is survived by four sons, W. F. Mercer, Winnfield, M. E. Mercer, Jr.,
H. G. Mercer, and J. B. Mercer of Pollock and five daughters, 23
grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and
nephews.
