Funeral services for Randal M. Megison, 55, of Winnfield, route four, were held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, with the Rev. R. F. Hancock officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Megison, a lifelong resident of Winn Parish, died enroute to the Winnfield hospital Monday morning after suffering a heart attack at his home five miles from Calvin. Present at the time of his death were his son, Leon Megison, and C. L. Bates, who was driving the car. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Betty Megison, Winnfield, route four; two daughters, Mrs. Sallie Weeks of Goldonna, route one, and Mrs. J. C. Cook, Winnsboro; two sons, Leon "Skinny" Megison of Winnfield, route four, and Millard Megison of West Monroe; one brother, Jodie Megison, Winnfield, route four; and two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Bates, Winnfield, route four, and Mrs. Mollie Cockerham, Texas. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Pallbearers were A. J. Griffin, J. M. Green, Henry Bates, Hesley D. Canerday, Glen Griffin, and Robert Boone.
