A. Mitchell of Wheeling Dies; Buried Dec. 7 Leonard A. Mitchell, 51, died of a heart attack at his home in the Wheeling community December 5. He was a World War Two veteran. Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. The Rev. Ray Atwood, the Revs. Cockerham and Pritchard officiated. The following nephews acted as pallbearers: Harold Mitchell, Thomas Wilson, James and Reginal Mithcell, Odis Jowers, and Kennety Brady. The deceased leaves his wife of Atlanta; two sons, Charles A. Mitchell of Atlanta and Morris J. Mitchell of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. Eloise Parker of Shreveport; one grandchild; five brothers, Tracy and Burgess Mitchell of Natchitoches, Owen and J. P. Mitchell of Atlanta, and Curtis Mitchell of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Johnson of Frierson, La., and Mrs. W. H. Lensley of Monroe; and his mother, Mrs. Nita Bell Mitchell of Atlanta, La.
