Evelyn B. Milstead

Services for Evelyn Bishop Milstead were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel
of Hixson in Lake Charles, La., with the Rev. Wayne Dartez officiating. 
Burial services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Union Baptist Church,
Montgomery, with the Rev. C. W. "Jack" Jones, officiating.  Burial was in
Union Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Milstead, 78, of Lake Charles, died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, April 22,
1989, in Diagnostic Hospital, Houston, Texas.  She was a native of Winnfield.

Survivors include one daughter, Nellwyn Metcalf of Westlake; two sons, Norris
L. Bishop and Terry Bishop, both of Bentley; four sisters, Ola Bloom of
Rangely, Me., Floyce Loftin of Leesville, Marline McNabb of Lake Charles, and
Charlene Knapp of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
