F. J. Miles, 85, Succumbs Jan. 26 At Five Forks

Franklin Jefferson Miles, 85, died at his home in the Five Forks community,
south of Winnfield Thursday morning, Jan. 26.  The remains were at Hixson
Funeral Home but plans for funeral services were incomplete Thursday
afternoon.  Burial will be made at Tullos.

The deceased made his home with his son, Ellis Miles.  About a year ago, Mr.
and Mrs. Miles celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home on
the Natchitoches highway.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Docie Cox Miles; five sons, Ellis of Winnfield;
Williams J. of Tullos; E. R. of Fayetteville, Ark.; John of Shreveport; Doyle
of N. Hollywood, Calif.; six daughters, Mrs. Annie Hebert of Pollock; Mrs.
Vina Wrinkle of Olla; Mrs. Edna Folley of Winnfield; Mrs. Stella Barker of
Teague, Texas; Mrs. Lillie Mae Little of Siloam Springs, Ark.; Mrs. Leata
Wilson of Omaha, Neb.

He also leaves one brother, George W. Miles of Tullos; two sisters, Mrs.
Fannie Tullos of Olla and Mrs. Emma Tisdale of Tullos.
