John H. Miller Dies Thursday After Brief Illness

John Henry Miller, 44, of Calvin, died early Thursday morning, October 26,
1972 at his residences following a brief illness.

Mr. Miller was a native of Winn Parish and worked in the timber industry.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Hurricane Creek Baptist
Church with the Rev. Rayford Higgs officiating, assisted by the Rev. Curtis
Rozelle.  Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include a son, John Wayne Miller of Calvin; three daughters, Mrs.
Jewel Moore, Malinda Miller, and Orinda Miller, all of Calvin; three sisters,
Mrs. Euna Roberts of Chatham, Mrs. Helen Sims and Mrs. Marline Garner, both
of California; and one brother, Edward Grishom of Calvin.
