Father of Mrs. L. C. Carter Dies at His Home In Bernice

Mrs. L. C. Carter was called to Bernice last Friday on account of the serious
illness of her father, W. B. Miller, who died Monday shortly afternoon. 
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon conducted by the Rev. L. R.
Morgan, pastor of the Bernice Baptist Church, and assisted by the Methodist
pastor.

The deceased is survived by his widow and eight children, Mrs. J. C. Wey,
Monroe, C. E. Miller, Bernice, Mrs. J. W. Hmmett (?), Monroe, W. W. Miller, El
Dorado, Ark., Mrs. L. C. Carter, Winnfield, H. C. Miller, Bernice, Mrs. T. E.
Thompson, Bernice, and Mrs. Loyd Frey, Saline.

Others attending the funeral from here were L. C. Carter, Miss Louise Carter,
C. C. Carter, and J. E. Carter.
