Mills Dies At Her Home Here Sunday Night Funeral Services Held At First Baptist Church Monday Afternoon Mrs. R. O. Mills died at her home here Sunday night at 10:30 o'clock following an illness of several months. Her condition was not considered serious until about a week before her death. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. H. H. McBride conducting the rites. These services were featured by the favorite songs of the deceased by the church choir, which included "The Day is Dying in the West", "Close To Thee", and "For Thee". Interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Mills was an active member of the Baptist Church with which she affiliated when she came to Winnfield twenty-three years ago. She was superintendent of the Junior Department of Sunday School and served as circle leader in the W. M. U. Surviving her are her husband, R. O. Mills, one daughter, Mrs. Houston Gates, granddaughter, Gloria Jean Gates, mother, Mrs. W. O. Tatum of Winnfield, one brother, C. W. Tatum of Simsboro, two nephews, E. A. Headrick of Alexandria, Murry Hudson of L___, La., one niece, Mrs. O. A. Tucker of Springhill. Pallbearers were Reggie Gates, R. D. Beville, Jesse L. Corley, A. L. Smith, S. L. Garrett, and Joe W. Mitchell. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Headrick and sons of Alexandria, C. W. Tatum of Simsboro, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Tucker and sons of Springhill, Mr. and Mrs. Murry Hudson and daughter, Mrs. P. K. Hudson of Litre, J. M. Mills, Monroe, Johnny Meeks of Clarks, and Clemon Ward of Chicago, Ill.
